PAKs Team

Sarah and Linda met in 2015 on a facebook support group for Congenital Myotonic Dystrophy. Sarah has a son and Linda has a granddaughter with the condition.
After hearing of the difficulties that many families had of accessing equipment and aids that they needed from the Health Service, they felt there was a need to help rectify this. Along with their partners the idea for POSITIVE AIDS for KIDS was born and created.

WHY A WOLF IN THE LOGO? I DON’T GET IT!

There is a lot of similarities with a wolf pack and our DM community.

Cooperative, family-living carnivores, like gray wolves, are fairly rare. But it’s no surprise that gray wolves and humans are so alike in their behavior. They live in family units, they cooperate to accomplish complex goals and everyone is safer and healthier because of teamwork. Specific tasks are taken on by certain family members, just like a male gray wolf will protect the pack from rival groups.

You protect the family with your life. We consider our community as our ‘PAK’ and we intend to do all we can to help make things that little bit better for our children.
